Required Reading by Silverfish

January 19th - February 25th 2006

Silverfish, a group of artists ranging in age, experience and artistic style, have been working together since 2000. Silverfish provides its members with a forum to publicly explore new ideas and expose audiences to the photographic medium in all of its varied forms.

Generally the collective coordinates shows around a shared curatorial premise. In Required Reading, Silverfish artists represent or interpret the written word. The members take varied approaches to the project, finding inspiration in everyone from Margaret Atwood to Dr. Seuss to New Brunswick songwriter Aubrey Hanson to name a few.

Current Silverfish members are Roger Smith, Chris Giles, Andrea Crabbe, Mike Meade, Peter Bjerkland, Lori P. Morse, Rachel Brodie Venart, Kyle Cunjak, Burton Glendenning, Tone Meeg, and Karen Ruet.
