Guest Instructor Joanne Barfitt will be instructing a workshop on samplers. Joanne's workshop is suitable for beginners and includes a variety of different cross stitches but also employs more advanced techniques such as beading and metallic thread to challenge the experienced stitcher.
Included in the workshop fee is a kit containing:

• fabric (lugana 10"x20")
• needles in a variety of sizes
• cotton floss
• metallic thread
• beads
• instructions.

Joanne asks that participants bring:

• small scissors
• q-snap frame or a scroll frame.
• Some people might like to have some magnification and lighting.

Joanne Barfitt was born in Halifax and now resides in Oromocto. For the past 20 years Joanne has been very involved in the field of embroidery having completed a number of courses through the Embroiderers Association of Canada. Her Smocking and Hardanger creations have been juried by the New Brunswick Crafts Council.
