About Us

The Andrew and Laura McCain Art Gallery is a non-profit, community art gallery operating on the banks of the St. John River in Florenceville, New Brunswick.

The gallery is open throughout the year and presents work by regional and provincial artists and artisans. Exhibitions change monthly and feature work ranging from historical to contemporary. The gallery strives to provide a professional venue and cultivate a broader appreciation and knowledge of the arts in New Brunswick.

Our History

The Andrew and Laura McCain Art Gallery was established in 1984 as an exhibition space on the lower level of the Andrew and Laura McCain Library. The gallery was the dream of the late Billie McCain, and when the McCain family built and donated the library building, her dream was realized.

Volunteer and Instructor Opportunities

Teens and adults, sign up for our Gallery Volunteer Program. Put your skills and interests to work for the community through the gallery while gaining experience and skills to apply to your resume.

We can use volunteers in many ways; from baking, veggie dicing and cute little sandwich making for events, extra hands for children's workshops, extra muscle for exhibition installation, musical talent for event entertainment, organized minds for office duties, poster distribution... the possibilities are vast and tailored to you.

Are you an art instructor or an expert in your field? Contact the gallery about offering a workshop. We are constantly looking for new ideas and talented people to share their knowledge.

Email the gallery at mccaingallery@live.com or call (506) 392-6769 for more information.
